Alums in the Alley is a program of the Harvard Business School Club of New York. Its purpose is to engage, connect and serve NY HBS alumni interested in entrepreneurship and support HBS’ efforts to be seen as the leading entrepreneurship business school.

Vivian is a C-Level Executive with a passion for starting and growing businesses at internet start-ups and large Media and Internet Brands (Disney, Yahoo). Her strengths are in managing multi-million dollar P&L’s, creating strategic direction, and harnessing the right talent and resources to achieve bottom-line results.  She has hands-on experience in Business Development, Product Management, Operations, and Finance.  For the past four years, Vivian served as President and Founder of a Social Media startup in NYC where she was responsible for orchestrating the growth of the new digital product from 0 to an affiliate network of over 30 million users.  Prior to that, she spent eleven years in Silicon Valley heading up Business Development and Product for Infoseek (internet startup) and later Disney where she successfully created and ran a 21-person team, delivering a revenue increase of over 600% in a two-year period, and a successful digital product.  Vivian has expertise in developing revenue models, revenue growth, business and corporate development, customer acquisition, audience development, partner relationship management, and in securing funding for start-ups.

Jason E. Klein is an experienced media CEO and builder of digital and traditional businesses who has led two successful turnarounds. He is founder and CEO of On Grid Ventures LLC , an advisory and investment firm in digital media, marketing, and information; a Managing Director at Empirical Media; and a mentor at several NYC-area incubators. Mr. Klein was previously CEO of Newspaper National Network LP, and CEO of Times Mirror Magazines/Time4 Media.

Brad Schrader is a business engineer – leading/driving multiple startups and turnarounds in tech and manufacturing. He currently serves on the leadership team of Sun Chemical as Chief Strategy Officer.

He is active in community service through church, the HBS Club of New York, and the Chautauqua Institution. Whenever possible he escapes to extreme sports and to perform the American songbook. Brad lives in NJ with his wife and has 4 adult children.

Maxine Botesazan is a growth strategist with a focus on the tech/media space. She currently works for NBCUniversal as Executive Advisor to the Chairman of Ad Sales, a role in which she supports the Chairman in realizing the overall vision for the Ad Sales organization. Prior to this role, Maxine worked on NBCUniversal’s Digital Ad Sales strategy, during which she spearheaded NBCU’s enterprise level Partnership with AOL and was responsible for developing and executing E! Online’s growth strategy.

Maxine joined NBCUniversal after receiving an MBA from Harvard Business School, where she served as the student body’s “Chief Innovation Officer.” In that role she led efforts to advance innovation at the University by connecting entrepreneurial classmates to like-minded students across the 11 other degree-granting schools at Harvard, as well as by creating deeper linkages between the school and NYC’s Silicon Alley.

Prior to NBCU, Maxine worked on international growth strategy and business development for Foursquare. Before that, she helped launch a startup accelerator, IDC Elevator, in Tel Aviv’s flourishing technology sector. Maxine started her career doing strategy & operations consulting for Fortune 500 companies at Archstone Consulting. Maxine holds a BA, Magna Cum Laude, from Barnard College, and an MBA, with Honors, from Harvard Business School.

Lisa Goldman Forgang is Chief Policy Officer of More Perfect Union / TheChisel.com, a new online social media company designed to change the political discourse in the U.S. with bipartisan solutions to pressing national and global problems. She leads the company’s partnership development activities with think tanks, public policy organizations, and academic institutions; partners with experts from these organizations to develop joint public policy proposals; and works with TheChisel team to make the proposals more accessible, easy-to-understand, and engaging for the general public.

Prior to More Perfect Union / TheChisel.com, Lisa was Vice President of Strategic Alliances and Partnership Marketing at Citi Cards; Director of Member Acquisition, Retention, and Program Development at Barnes & Noble; Director of Subscription Marketing at Disney Online; and a Senior Development Executive at UJA-Federation of New York.

Lisa is Vice President of Marketing & Membership of the Harvard Business School Women’s Association of New York and was Vice President of the Harvard Business School Club of New York for eight years. She is also a member of the Stanford Alumni in New York Leadership Board. She has been an active volunteer and lay leader with UJA-Federation for over ten years. Lisa is on the Leadership Committee for the HBS Club’s Community Partners program, which provides pro bono consulting for local nonprofits. Lisa received both her BA and MA from Stanford and her MBA from Harvard Business School.
